It was in 2012 that we worked for the first time in this area that wanted to review its MTB offering as well as the option of more up-to-date developments suited to all audiences.

In this exceptional area, the trails extend from the bottom of the valley (1250m) to the high-mountain pastures (2500m) in majestic landscapes. We sought to construct a coherent product along the valley via the “Petit Bonheur” path. We then created fun areas in key locations, re-thought the more spectacular trails and designed a complete product to appeal to holiday-makers, locals, beginners and experts. Following the programming study of 2014, the development phase of the masterplan was launched in 2015. This spanned several years, leaving time to address the very present land-related and environmental issues, among other things.

A territory with striking contrasts, a multi-disciplinary project where all MTB disciplines are represented: the Haute-Maurienne is a major project that means a great deal to us.

The Haute-Maurienne is an exceptional natural environment where preserving its fragility has been a major issue.

Farms are everywhere along the edges of existing routes and paths. A real challenge when designing fun trails !

The variety of landscapes and contexts compelled us to work very creatively to design facilities that best enhanced these areas. Across fun areas, e-MTB trails, enduro and downhill tracks, we’ve been able to discover the diversity of the Haute Maurienne in a playful way by bike !

After creating fun areas in 2015 and continuing the environmental studies in 2016, we’ll be supporting the Communauté de Communes federation of municipalities to monitor the main work site which will begin as soon as the snow thaws in 2017.
